The therapists and counselors at Bethel Center are well-trained to provide psychotherapy based on solid psychological theory. They are experienced and regularly keep up with advances in the field by attending seminars.
Betty A. Riley, Psy.D., is the founder and clinical director of Bethel Center. She is trained to deal with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, ADHD, anger management, relationship issues, and many more. She provides counseling for children who need it. She also does marriage therapy with couples. People often say that they find Dr. Riley "easy to talk to." She is a compassionate and capable counselor who is able to make most people feel at ease while providing them with competent therapy.
With previous training in theology and service in ministry, Dr. Riley is also able to incorporate spiritual and biblical insights into her practice of psychotherapy for those patients who desire such a focus.
She received her M.A. in counseling psychology from Wheaton College and her Doctor of Psychology degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She brings a wide background of life experiences as well as professional training to her practice. Dr. Riley provides individual, marital, and group therapy, as well as psychological testing services.
Dr. Riley is a member of the American Psychological Association, a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and a member of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies.

Bethel Center also provides on-site experience for doctoral students in psychology. As such, a pre-doctoral intern may be available to meet the needs of some patients.
